Meet Laura Boulton, a dynamo in America's classrooms who's been shaping young minds across 5 states for over 20 years. From kindergarteners to high school seniors, Laura's taught them all, armed with her degrees from the University of Southern California, Peru College, and the University of Phoenix, and now she's zeroed in on a Doctorate in Education at Liberty University.
Born in Malaysia and a former English Language Learner and Special Education student herself, Laura knows firsthand the hurdles some students face. That's why she's not just a teacher; she's a dedicated youth advocacy using her own struggles and rich cultural tapestry to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment for her students and her two children.
Laura's heart and passion found a solid ground when she led the Newcomer Bridge Program at Borah High School, a life-changing initiative that welcomed refugees and immigrants with open arms, and languages! Yes, she can teach math in a dozen languages and express love in over thirty-six ~XO~
A former teacher at Centennial, Borah, and Timberline High Schools, she continues to inspire. But Laura's story doesn't just start with education; she was a part of Yahoo!'s team, policing the internet and crafting content for Yahoo! Mail. Boise has been her family's cozy nest for almost two decades where taekwondo is the family sport, chasing their second-degree black belts with gusto.
Laura's life is a testament to resilience, passion, and the power of education!
